Senior Information Security Engineer, Camarillo, CA, US- Hybrid Work

We are seeking a Senior Information Security Engineer, who will be responsible for providing implementation, administration and operations support of various IT security tools. The engineer will have the opportunity to work with multiple enterprise security tools including analysis, design and implementation of IT security systems. Objectives of this Role

Responsible for the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and support of information security technologies ranging from, but not limited to firewalls, intrusion prevention & detection systems, VPNs, SIEM/EDR event management and alerting, enterprise anti-malware and patching solutions, data leakage prevention, multi-factor authentication, email protection filtering and encryption, threat detection and response, vulnerability assessment tools, internet gateway (proxy) and CASB tools, and software deployment tools.

Validate and test security architecture and design solutions to produce detailed engineering specifications with recommended vendor technologies.

Maintain and continue risk management activities, including security risk assessments.

Azure protection mechanisms, that include ATP, conditional access policies, alerting and risk score improvements, data labeling/classification/retention policies, automation and response, intune policies and scripts, DLP, and reporting.

3rd party SSO (OIDC/SAML/SWA) solutions such as Azure and Okta.

Perform daily monitoring for integrity of servers, endpoint systems and processes which may also include reviewing system and application logs and verifying security services and jobs are running as expected.

Establish and maintain operational, configuration and other process/procedures to ensure effectiveness of security policies.

User security training and remedial follow-ups.

Participation and interactions with change control forums.

Provide support for Management and IT operations teams to provide answers, audit artifacts, solutions, and improvements to security policies.

Participate in forensics and post-mortem investigations of Information Security incidents while preparing report documents to illustrating the findings.

Perform reviews of all current and requested software, operating system changes, 3rd party services, and cloud environments to ensure security measures and standards are met and align with policy.

Provide expertise and guidance around issues while recommending solutions that mitigate and eliminate risk.

Develop SOPs and runbooks to promote successful operations.

Assist in the enforcement of security policies from planning, technology safeguards and remediation for data, software applications, hardware, and telecommunications.

Skills and Qualifications

Proficient in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.

Minimum of 5-8 years of security engineering experience, specifically in networks, systems, database and operations.

Extensive expertise in developing and supporting complex security solutions.

Experience in Cloud and SaaS applications security, endpoint and data encryption.

Experience using scripting languages to automate tasks and manipulate data; programming experience is a plus.

Experience developing technical documents and procedures, topology maps with various software applications.

Network Tools: nmap/zenmap, SQLmap, Wireshark, Tenable, Kali, Burp,

Systems: Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2012+, Active Directory, Azure, AWS, Linux

Excellent conceptual, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to present a professional image to management, staff, vendors, co-workers, and outside contacts.

Ability to provide both internal and external customer support, including ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.

Self-starter, motivated and fast learner.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Team player, able to work with cross-functional teams, and highly interested in working on third party system technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems. Management, Engineering, or similar).

Minimum of 5-8 years of security engineering experience.

System administration experience in a Windows and Linux environment preferred.

Programming/Languages: Powershell and Bash scripting, Java, C#, PHP, Python, HTML5/CSS/Javascript.

Familiar with industry security regulations and frameworks (MITRE Attack Framework, NIST, CIS etc.)

CISSP and other security certifications.
