Our Public Sector client based in Edgbaston, Birmingham is currently looking for an Administrative Officer to support their department. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.00pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This will be an ongoing temporary assignment, paying £9.65 per hour going up to £11.19 in the 13th working week. This role will be working on site, and there is parking available. This role will require the successful candidate to work as part of a team supporting the organisations Commissioner, to allow them to fulfil their duties relating to licensing and regulation of vehicle operators and licence holders. You will be required to provide administrative support for all inquiries, hearings and then implementing the commissioner's decisions, directions and instructions. This means completion of the relevant paperwork and liaising with external stakeholders, drafting reports for casework, issuing letters and implementing/processing statements. You will also be required to clerk at Public Inquiry meetings held by the Commissioner. Ideal previous experience for this role includes strong general administration skills, good interpersonal skills, and experience in using MS Outlook, Word, Excel and research data bases. You should also be a strong communicator and team player. Please note this role will require three years referencing and a DBS check.
