Helpline Team Leader (Mental Health) Erdington, Birmingham £24,187 Hours: 37.5 hours work flexibly as per the service opening hours on a rota basis The Helpline is open 7 days per week hours 9 am to 11 pm Our client's helpline service is an integral part of their offerings to those in need around Birmingham and Solihull. It is open 7 days a week from 9am 11pm and our helpline workers are on hand to provide support in critical times. The calls received can often be challenging and sensitive, so they look for resilient people who can offer the recommended support and advice. Each team requires an influential leader, who can ensure that all individuals receive a safe and effective service. They are therefore looking for an experienced supervisor to help the team to understand and undertake processes to assist people in crisis so that they can be supported effectively. You will be there to provide exceptional support via telephone calls, emails and webchat, ensuring all relevant information is disclosed and drive our values and ethos to all who require our assistance. You will support the team to ensure that advice and signposting provided is relevant and appropriate, and safeguarding and risk is evaluated for all callers. As a hands-on leader, you will be able to encourage development for the team and individuals, helping them learn more about the services and how they can help. With experience within health and social care, you will have a background of supporting staff. You will have a good understanding of equal opportunities and demonstrate a positive attitude to people who have experienced mental health difficulties. You will be able to handle sensitive and often challenging calls and will work in line with all procedures and legislation including GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
