Our Houston branch is looking for a new Project Logistics Customer Care Specialist to join their Oil & Gas Logistics team.

Your Role

The Customer Care specialist is responsible for delivering customer excellence for 1 or more accounts. The specialist is knowledgable about Project Logistics and is able to support their customers by pro-actively providing helpful information, timely response to queries and quotations and efficient handling of problems or/and complaints. They must ensure all system information (including but not limited to OGS, SeaLOG/AirLOG) is up to date and accurate so as to ensure that customers are satisfied with products and systems. A key eye for detail is required to ensure that customer and internal KPIs are met by all involved parties (CCL, OCC, RCC and Hubs).

Your Responsibilities

Pro-active customer care Order Management (for KNPL accounts that are using OGS) and Shipment Management so as to ensure that orders and shipments are handled in a timely and accurate manner.
Quotation Management so as to qualify customer enquiries (regardless of mode of transport), obtain rates from the respective OCC (BU or KNPL) and provide quotes with selling rates within agreed margins to ensure that business is profitable.
Be a key part in the on-boarding of new business to ensure that the customer experience is first rate and that they are delighted by KNPL
Providing the customer with information that they need either by instructing correct usage of KNPL systems or providing reports.
Overall ownership of the file regardless of being handled by OCC (KNPL or BU), Hub or SSC.
Assist in the centralization and automation of tasks so as to increase efficiency and allow CCL to focus on the customer.
Always aware of the current status of the performance metrics compared to the customers KPI or expectation.
Monitor and manage the daily productivity reports to insure you are working on the right items at the right time
Monitor and ensure data quality is at acceptable levels

Your Skills and Experiences

Candidates should have 3 years freight forwarding experience (preferred)
Bachelors Degree in Logistics or related field (preferred)
Knowledge of Kuehne + Nagel in-house systems (CIEL, ACON, KNLogin) an advantage
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
To be prepared to learn all aspects of the team's work with desire and ability to provide cover and assistance on a regular basis
Ability to work efficiently and accurately
Excellent communication skills
Customer focus with proactive attitude
