Senior Accounts Assistant (ACA/ACCA Qualified, Part Qualified) Location: Sunninghill, Berkshire Salary: £25-30,000 per annum Duration: Permanent Hours: 8.30 5.00pm, Monday Friday Summary of a Senior Accounts Assistant As a Senior Accounts Assistant you will support the Senior Manager with compliance work with the opportunity to get involved in advisory work as you gain experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities of a Senior Accounts Assistant • Review of statutory year-end accounts. • Able to take management responsibility for a portfolio of clients. • Mentoring and supporting the team. • Reviewing accounts production on behalf of the Senior Manager. • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. • Preparation and review of Corporate Tax computations. • Liaising with and providing general technical advice to clients. • Being able to work as part of a team and training junior members of staff. • Billing, WIP management and other adhoc responsibilities as and when required. • Providing support to our accounts controller administrator in peak periods. Key Competencies of a Senior Accounts Assistant • Have practice experience within a small to medium sized accountancy practice. • Have a genuine interest in accounting and business. • Proficient in payroll and CIS as well as usual portfolio/deadline management • Be qualified / part qualified or be able to demonstrate a proven track record in practice. • Be someone with a logical and numerate mind and be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skills with the ability to balance your workload effectively. • Communicate well and be motivated to take on challenges as well as problem solving. • Have the drive to progress your career and a willingness to take on challenging work. • A working knowledge of sage, QuickBooks and/or Xero would be advantageous. • Have a good working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel. The position is in the company s Sunninghill office, however a presence may be required occasionally in our other offices, therefore your own transportation would be desirable.
