The Full Stack Developer will work closely with business partners to create new features and support the Securitization platform for Freddie Mac s Investments and Capital Markets division (I&CM). This position will play an important role in driving activities in support of I&CM s Securitization and Legal departments. Candidates for this position will develop new features to enhance and maintain the Book Builder application, an automated documentation generation platform.
Candidates will be responsible for developing new features and supporting the Securitization team during the critical REMIC financial deal cycle. Looking for innovative candidates to facilitate automation and flexibility in an agile business sector. This position is responsible for the successful development, design, and documentation for concurrent projects with a moderate range of complexity. Responsibilities include contributing across the technology stack, from database and the DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, to front-end and server-side application development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and create detailed technical specifications from which applications will be written
Gain understanding of business case and functionality expectations
Code and script applications
Follow coding standards and guidelines, and contribute to the standards
Deploying applications in a continuous delivery environment with automated testing
Compiling and assessing user feedback to identify end-user requirements and specifications and to improve software performance
Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
Complete tasks as assigned on time in a quality manner so that goals and milestones are achieved

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or a related field
4+ years of software development experience
Proficiency in Standard Java
Must know at least one front-end framework (Angular, React, jQuery)
Familiarity with databases (e.g. SQL, MYSQL) and web servers
Solution-oriented and high-level programming skills
Ability to understand and write code documentation that conveys your solution to others
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize application for security and responsiveness
Keys to Success:
Familiarity with version control (e.g GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to partner effectively
Analytical skills and problem-solving
Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented.
Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks a plus
Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
Familiarity with manipulating Microsoft file formats (XLSX, DOCX) thru Java a plus
Exposure to OpenXML or the docx4j library a plus
Comfortable with JSON structures and data representation
Understanding of application performance diagnostics and analytical tools
Knowledge of automated test frameworks
Mock oriented testing with positive and negative testing (Junit/Mockito)
Basic Docker experience
