The Job Seeker API team is responsible for building out and improving Job Seeker's API platform and capabilities. The team fosters the "API First" development approach across the organization, through building platforms and capabilities, mentoring and supporting teams producing and consuming APIs, and building individual APIs and data pipelines to collect and process job seeker events emitted by all products in the job search ecosystem.
As a Staff Software Engineer at Indeed, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the API platforms and APIs that power Indeed's website, mobile apps, and internal processes. As part of a small collaborative team from engineering and product management, you will implement new platforms to support API development, implement new APIs, and mentor developers from other teams on building high quality, client-centric APIs, increasing developer efficiency in our mission to help people get jobs.
Who You Are
Minimum 3 years of experience building backend or middle tier systems
Minimum 1 year of experience designing and implementing client-facing APIs
Minimum 3 years of experience with agile software development life cycle
Minimum 1 year of experience mentoring other software developers
Significant experience with large scale, high-performance, reliable distributed systems
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and provide feedback via design reviews
